The taunt of the attacker

Lips snarled

Baying for a response

Emotion to blame

Eyes hungry for the kill

The death of my spirit

Don’t be a victim

 

You like being a victim

The worker says as I beg for help

Box ticking

Hungry eyes

Not broken enough yet

We’ll fix that

As my soul screams ENOUGH

 

I’m not a victim

But I hate the scars

Of 10 million battles

10 billion insults

10 trillion judging eyes

I’m not a victim

I won’t stay in your box

I will wipe away the tears you gave

I will rise to

Look into your hungry hate filled eyes

And see your fear

As I will not stay a victim
